The Burge Family Winemaking tradition first started in the late 1860s with John Burge, who migrated to South Australia from Wiltshire (UK) in 1855. In 1986, Noel’s son Rick joined the family business, acquired shares from other family members, and immediately set out to revitalize the company, quickly winning multiple trophies and gold medals at wine shows.

Burge Family Winemakers, founded by Percival in 1928, is now part of Wilsford Group. With 91 years of success, the Burge family will continue to pursue their passion for winemaking.
